Compound Scope by Ultraview
The UV3XL SE is the updated version of the larger UV3XL Scope by Ultraview. The inner diameter is 42 mm (instead of around 28 mm). The Target Kit includes the housing, an LED cartridge (the so called Light Kit), and a front lens housing with a drilled plastic lens that can accommodate a light fiber. Additionally, the kit comes with various fiber optic pins, circles and dots stickers, bubble levels in red and blue, and a "No-Light Cap" that can be inserted into the scope instead of the LED cartridge.
The UV3 is not just a standard compound scope. Ultraview has developed a comprehensive system that leaves little to be desired. The main body is made of black anodized aluminum, with components that can be inserted from both sides (referred to by Ultraview as "cartridges"). The base of all scopes is the "Light Kit" cartridge which features 5 UV LED that illuminate the inside of the housing. This effectively lights up the bubble level, something that is often lacking in other scopes. Additionally, "Viz Rings" in various colors can be inserted into the Light Kit. Alternatively, a plastic ring can be used to operate the scope without any LED. Cartridges with or without sight pins can be inserted into the front side of the scope.
Compared to its predecessor, the UV3XL SE now secures the cartridges with a single screw that cannot be accidentally removed. This makes swapping cartridges faster and ensures the locking screws won’t get lost.
Since the cartridges can be removed, the scope is fully compatible for both right-hand (RH) and left-hand (LH) use. The cartridges can simply be swapped, changing the mounting position to the other side.
