Carbon/Aluminium hunting arrow from Easton (12 Pcs.)

The FMJ series (FMJ as in "Full Metal Jacket") from Easton are carbon arrows that have a "protective shell" of aluminum. The concept is the exact opposite of the aluminum / carbon arrows from Easton popular for decades in target archery, such as X10 or ACE. There, a core of aluminum sits inside a carbon layer. First of all, the addition of aluminum increases the shaft weight, which increases the kinetic energy and thus the penetrating power. Besides that, the carbon remains protected inside and the arrows are easier to draw due to the smooth aluminum exterior.
