ILF riser from Hoyt
The RCRV Comp is Hoyt's new affordable entry-level model with an ILF limb fitting for the 2025 season, succeeding the Hoyt XAKT. The cutouts in the riser feature an organic, flowing design reminiscent of the Hoyt Xceed's aesthetics. Combined with the matte anodized finish, this creates a very high-quality appearance.
However, Hoyt has made a few cost-saving adjustments to keep the price low. For instance, there is no UNF 5/16" thread on the back of the riser (e.g., under the grip) to attach additional weights or a damper. Additionally, it lacks the vertical adjustment of the plunger thread (Verta Tune), and the limb alignment system is somewhat simpler.
On the other hand, the grip is the same as that used on Hoyt's high-end bows, and a premium protective cover is included. Weighing in at just 1175 g, the RCRV Comp is comparatively lightweight.
