Limbs
The term "limbs" refers to the lower and upper parts of a takedown bow. They are attached to the handle on one side (limb pockets), while the loops of the string are hooked to the limb tips. Limbs are exclusively sold as a pair of limbs.

ILF is the abbreviation for "International Limb Fitting" and describes an industry standard for a plug-in limb mount on the handle. The ILF limb system is extremely widespread on modern competition bows and is now also used on traditional takedown recurves.
